talwen Labs is where we publish smaller projects by Talwen, partners and independent contributors. Most will begin as free experiments. Some will be practical tools, some curiosities, and some may open genuinely new ground. Each should be useful in itself or increase what Talwen is able to do.

An independent project by Jody Florian
A predictive-text engine that adapts to its user's language from conversations without retaining those conversations as a history. The aim is useful personalisation without a stored transcript.
It is at an early stage. There is no release to try yet; notes, prototypes and further progress will appear here as the work develops.

Under consideration
Potential independent collaboration
Exploratory work on learning systems that retain and extend knowledge over time, with less need for repeated training. It considers alternative computational structures and whether incremental learning could reduce the cost and energy involved in model development.
